FAQ

  • If you’re in your 30s, 40s, & 50s and living life without kids—whether by choice or circumstance—welcome, you’ve found your people! Our members include singles and couples who are embracing the kid-free lifestyleright now. Some have chosen a kid-free path permanently, while others are undecided about the future. What unites us is a commitment to meaningful connections, an intentional social life, and personal growth. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you in our community!

  • We named our community PARALLEL because it reflects our shared, yet unique life path — one that doesn’t include the traditional milestone of parenting, yet does include the pursuit of personal fulfillment and the desire to live our best lives.

    • $69/month for individuals

    • $118/month for couples ($59pp)

    • Access to 5-8 curated social events per month

    • A private, vetted community of like-minded individuals

    • Exclusive resources & content

    • Member perks, discounts, and special access

    • A private member app for 24/7 connection

    • New friendships, new experiences, networking, and personal growth opportunities

  • Unlike online Facebook groups, PARALLEL is a highly curated, premium experience where connections happen in person, not just online. Unlike Meetup groups, we’re not just about fun events – LA has plenty of those. We’re thoughtful, deliberate and intentional about how we curate our experiences so that we actually facilitate meaningful connections and build community.

  • A membership fee ensures our community is made up of intentional, committed, and engaged members. When people invest, they show up—and that makes for a richer, more meaningful experience for everyone.

Plus, the membership fees help us:

    • Host high-quality events at great venues

    • Maintain a private member app for seamless connections

    • Be more high touch to deliver quality, so that members are not just a number

  • Yes! Life happens, and we get that. You can cancel your membership anytime before your next monthly billing cyle. Don’t want to cancel, but need to pause membership due to extenuating circumstances or scheduling challenges that keep you from participating for a while? No problem! We can accommodate that as well.

  • It’s your go-to for staying connected between events:

    • RSVP for upcoming events

    • Chat with members in interest-based groups

    • Explore the member directory

    • Send DMs to other members

    • Access exclusive resources

  • Many events are members-only, but we do host guest-friendly gatherings each month. PARALLEL members get priority, discounts, and perks, but guests are welcome at select events (ticket fees may apply)

  • Right now, we’re based in Los Angeles, hosting events across the city in chic venues, private spaces, and restaurants.

  • Yes! We’re eyeing other cities. Want PARALLEL near you? Let us know! We’re planning pop-up events in cities with the most interest before expanding. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up-to-date.

  • No, we won’t "kick you out"—that sounds way too dramatic. 😂 But since PARALLEL is built for the kid-free lifestyle, you’ll likely step away naturally as your priorities shift. But the friendships and memories you make here? Those are yours to keep for life!
