COMMUNITY GUIDELINES & CODE OF CONDUCT
Last Updated: August 29, 2026
Our Goal
PARALLEL Social Club™ is designed to help adults build meaningful friendships through shared experiences. We want every member to feel welcomed, respected, and safe.
These guidelines apply throughout the PARALLEL community experience, including public and private channels, direct messages, comments, virtual gatherings, in-person events, and other interactions connected to PARALLEL.
By joining or participating in PARALLEL, you agree to follow these guidelines.
How We Treat Each Other
We expect members to:
Treat others with respect, even when opinions or experiences differ.
Respect personal, physical, and communication boundaries.
Help create an environment where people feel comfortable participating.
Follow reasonable instructions from event hosts, venues, and the PARALLEL team.
Consider how posts, jokes, and memes may affect a broad audience.
Behavior That Is Not Allowed
PARALLEL does not tolerate:
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, hateful comments, or degrading behavior based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship status, pregnancy status, political affiliation, childfree or childless status, or any other personal characteristic.
Hostile or mean-spirited comments about parenthood, children, pregnancy, relationships, or someone’s decision or circumstances around having children.
Unwelcome sexual attention, sexual content, physical contact, or requests for inappropriate levels of intimacy.
Threats, intimidation, stalking, inciting violence, or encouraging self-harm.
Deliberate misgendering or sharing someone’s identity, personal information, images, or private communications without permission.
Photographing or recording someone in a harassing manner or after being asked to stop.
Repeated one-on-one contact after someone has asked for it to stop.
Continued disruption of events or conversations after a request to stop.
Illegal, dangerous, or seriously disruptive conduct that threatens another person or the PARALLEL community.
Members who are asked to stop inappropriate behavior must do so immediately.
A Welcoming and Safe Environment
We want to create an environment in which diverse individuals can get to know each other and interact in a positive way. Examples of behavior that contribute to creating this sort of environment include:
Using welcoming and inclusive language
Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
Focusing on what is best for the overall community
Showing empathy towards other community members
Reporting
If you experience or witness concerning behavior, please contact the PARALLEL team through the app or by email:
If there is an immediate safety threat, contact emergency services or venue security first.
Reports will be handled promptly, carefully, and as confidentially as reasonably possible. If a report involves someone on the PARALLEL team, that person will not participate in reviewing it.
We may also consider conduct that occurs outside PARALLEL spaces when it may affect member safety or the community. Retaliation against someone who makes a good-faith report is prohibited. Knowingly false or malicious reports may also result in action.
How PARALLEL May Respond
PARALLEL will review each situation based on the available information and the seriousness of the conduct.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
Remove content.
Issue a warning or require certain behavior to stop.
Restrict access to events or community features.
Temporarily suspend a membership.
Permanently end a membership without a refund at the discretion of the Co-Founders.
PARALLEL may take immediate action when someone’s safety is at risk. Decisions regarding community access and membership are made at PARALLEL’s discretion and are final. To protect everyone’s privacy, we may not be able to share all details or outcomes.
